SBL’s proficient team of three members is going to attend the two-day India Africa ICT Expo 2019 that is being organized in Kigali from 5th August 2019 to 6th August 2019.
An adept team of SBL, having in-depth expertise in the latest technological advancements related to the global ICT Sector is heading to attend the prestigious India Africa ICT Expo 2019 with the aim to showcase intelligent digital connectivity solutions and provide adequate support to Rwanda’s ICT Sector in becoming an eminent player in the Telecom industry. SBL has also announced its plan to sponsor the event and open a stall displaying smart technological solutions that can boost the operational efficiency of business organizations which in turn results in the growth of Rwanda’s economy. The stall number for SBL is marked as 48A in the expo. The India Africa ICT Expo 2019 is a joint initiative of both the governments of India and Rwanda. Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) is the responsible authority in conducting the expo with unanimous support from the Government of India’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Communications. The grant expo is co-organized by the two ministries functioning under the Government of Rwanda – Ministry of ICT & Innovation and Rwanda Ministry of Trade & Industry along with the unwavering and continuous support offered by RDB – Rwanda Development Board, RISA – Rwanda Information Society Authority, RURA – Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority, NIRDA – National Industrial Research and Development Agency, ICT CHAMBER and RCB – the Rwanda Convention Bureau.

India has earlier announced support to Rwanda’s initiatives to build an efficient IT and Telecommunications infrastructure in the country. In a two day visit to Rwanda, from 23rd July 2018 to 24th July 2018, Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi had expressed India’s willingness to extend support in the form of sharing expertise and resources in shaping different market and economic aspects of Rwanda such as infrastructure development, rural development & training, financial management etc., especially the IT and Telecommunication industry. The India Africa ICT Expo 2019 anticipates active participation of as many as 300 delegates representing 225 Telecom Service Providers from 29 African Countries. Major technical giants like Airtel, Sotracom, BSC, MTN, and Liquid Telecom, who play a crucial role in the African Telecom industry are also invited to be the part of such a renowned expo. The Key Conference Theme is to unlock the potential of two countries for meeting the vast demand for ICT services across multiple domains.
